Organized on the principle that there’s much more to a film experience than simply watching movies on the big screen, the Walker Film Club (formerly the Walker Film Society) provides deeper access to the stories and creative talent behind the art of filmmaking.
The Walker Film Club offers premier access to advance tickets, members-only screenings, and evenings with special guests following premieres and dialogues at the Walker.
Event invitations are extended to all Walker members at the $175 Contemporaries level and above, with benefits increasing at the $250 Contributing, $2,000 Patrons’ Circle, and again at the $10,000 Director’s Circle giving levels.
Some recent Walker Film Club events have included:
Advance ticket access to Walker Dialogue with Christopher Nolan and Variety chief film critic Scott Foundas, followed by a special reception
Pre-release ticket access to the premiere of Bill Pohlad’s Love & Mercy, with a post-screening discussion and reception
Post-screening reception and Filmmakers in Conversation program with producer/writer Nathan Zellner and Variety chief film critic Scott Foundas for Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter
Pre-screening reception with director Ira Sachs for Love Is Strange, on the opening night of the Film Independent Spirit Awards nominated films series, followed by an in-depth discussion
Reservations to an advanced screening of Asif Kapadia’s documentary Amy
