Michelle Kinney & Gary Waryan, 8 PM

Longtime collaborators Gary Waryan and Michelle Kinney (half of new music quartet Jello Slave) have been on a similar musical trajectory, forging paths through the worlds of classical music, rock/pop and improvisational new music, and music for theater and dance.

In this duo project they apply their respective Western and Indian classical foundations and lifetimes of intrepid genre hopping in an improvisational exploration that invites the unpredictable voice of electronics in the form of “looping”, setting into motion unanticipated contributions to the outcome.

Fort Wilson Riot, 9 PM

Fort Wilson Riot made a splash this spring with the release of their new album trIllIun. Throughout the summer they have a lot of exciting shows planned, but for their Campfire Series performance you’ll get to see a different side of the band. Pared down to the core duo of Amy Hager and Jacob Mullis, this will be a unique chance to hear their songs performed in an intimate setting with only the bare essentials.
