The Walker People’s Archive compiles your photos and memories from 75 years of Walker history.
To celebrate the Walker’s 75 years of operating as public art center – an orientation inaugurated in 1940 with funding from the Works Progress Administration – we asked you to share your most vivid Walker memories. We wanted to answer many questions, including “How do we remember?”
We scanned. We listened. We uploaded. We displayed your photos online, at the Walker and even on billboards. We gave you the WPA Revue, a musical slideshow and play hosted by Dylan Hicks.
