Frequently Asked Questions
Membership packets are sent each week, so you should receive your new cards within two weeks of joining or renewing. If you would like to visit before your new cards arrive, as long as we have received your dues you can show a picture ID at the lobby desk and a visitor services staff member can look you up in our system.
Individual membership provides free gallery admission for one member. Dual-level members and above, without a second member listed on their account, may bring one guest with them for free. For additional guests, $5 admission passes are available for Family-level members and above. Gallery admission is always free for children and teens ages 0–18.

You are welcome to bring up to two guests unless otherwise noted.
Membership cards are nontransferable, and can only be used by the members listed on the account.
Absolutely. Just make sure the corresponding paperwork has your name on it.
Please visit a lobby desk or contact the Membership Office at 612-375-7655 and membership@walkerart.org to request a replacement card. You can continue to take advantage of your membership benefits by presenting a photo ID at the lobby desk.
You can log into your account and change it yourself immediately. You can also mention it to a staff person at the Main Lobby desk or contact the Membership Office at membership@walkerart.org or 612-375-7655 (Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm).

Tax Information: Estimated Benefits Value
The amount of your membership contribution that is deductible for federal income tax purposes is limited to the amount of your payment, less the value of certain membership benefits you are entitled to receive. The estimated value of the benefits is listed below for each membership level.
