Loads of Family Fun is the Big Draw at the Walker Art Center's December Free First Saturday

Scribbles, doodles, and scrawls are all the rage at The Big Draw, the Walker Art Center’s Free First Saturday event from 10 am–5 pm Saturday, December 2. Featured events include the performance Final Legend of Friendly Planet by multimedia artists Ann Marie de Lathouder and Adrian Freeman, an interactive story inspired by popular games; screenings of short films from the Walker’s collection; a drawing adventure in the Eva Hesse Drawing exhibition led by artist and Walker tour guide Shannon Steven; art-making activities making experimental doodles and sketchbooks; and a story reading.

Activities are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ever tried to draw something you can’t see? This workshop encourages kids to take an experimental approach to doodling.

Cinema
Multimedia artists Ann Marie de Lathouder and Adrian Freeman present an interactive story inspired by some of the great video and card games of our time.
