Thrivent & Dyani White Hawk
Lauded in the press and an instant audience favorite, Dyani White Hawk’s major mid-career survey, Dyani White Hawk: Love Language, ended its run at the Walker in mid-February. But it continues on to Remai Modern in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where it will open in late April. We are incredibly grateful to the many visitors, community organizations, and donors who made this important exhibition such a resounding success.
Lead Sponsor Thrivent deserves a special thank-you for its generous support of the Walker’s presentation and longstanding support of the Walker, the arts, and our community. “At Thrivent, we believe the arts have the transformative power to inspire, spark curiosity, and build connection in community,” says Teresa Rasmussen, Thrivent CEO and Walker Trustee..
This exhibition is strongly aligned with Thrivent’s values and investment in the arts. White Hawk’s work holds a special place in the Thrivent Art Collection and is proudly displayed at Thrivent’s Minneapolis Corporate Center. “Dyani’s art invites us to reflect on love, language, and the power of community,” says Joanna Lindell, chief curator of the Thrivent Art Collection. ”The exhibition beautifully demonstrates the power of art to bring people together.”.
