VR Underground: A 360° Evening with the Filmmakers of Pursuit & The Elusive
Event Details
Tickets & Info
This museum-wide takeover by Lady Midnight (Adriana Rimpel), Laura Robards, and Brian Skalak will feature a screening and musical performance by Lady Midnight in the Cinema, VR headsets preloaded with the film, and an art-making opportunity to experiment with shadows.
Based on themes from Lady Midnight’s album of the same name, the experimental, award-winning film Pursuit & The Elusive was shot in 360° and uses emerging virtual reality technologies to create a visual landscape evocative of single-player video games and gritty science-fiction worlds. Virtual reality (VR) technologies create immersive digital environments—accessible through phone screens or headsets covering your eyes and ears—that trick your senses into believing you are somewhere else.
