Family Fun is in Fashion at Styled by Saarinen, the Walker Art Center's Free First Saturday in January

Families are invited to take part in activities inspired by the designs of influential architect Eero Saarinen at the Walker Art Center’s Free First Saturday event

from 10 am–3 pm Saturday, January 3. Events include the performance Sharing the Gift, featuring Larry and Jessup Yazzie performing the colorful Fancy Dance; an art-making activity where visitors can make a chair based on an animal, plant, or insect; a building challenge involving cardboard scraps and tape; a story reading of Andrea Beaty’s Iggy Peck Architect; a screening of the film Tops, made by Saarinen’s friends Charles and Ray Eames; and an interactive gallery tour of the exhibition Eero Saarinen: Shaping the Future.

Activities are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis from 10 am–3 pm. Gallery admission is free from 10 am–5 pm on Free First Saturday.
