Supporting our Cultural and Creative Environment
Each year, hundreds of thousands of visitors experience the Walker’s world-class programs and grounds, whether strolling through the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, enjoying a performance in the McGuire Theater, watching a screening in the Walker Cinema, or exploring a dynamic exhibition in the galleries.
The Walker not only showcases the very best of contemporary art and performance but also connects and engages audiences with the thought-provoking questions and perspectives of today’s leading artists. It’s central to the institution’s mission: the Walker empowers people to experience the transformative possibilities of the art and ideas of our time and to imagine the world in new ways.
The Walker is lucky to benefit from many generous individuals, foundations, and corporations who share a belief in the power of the arts to strengthen the economy, spark creativity and innovation, improve mental health and well-being, and unify communities.
U.S. Bank, a Corporate member and regular sponsor of Avant Garden, has long understood the role the arts play in building vibrant communities. In 2025 alone, the company provided $111.7 million through corporate contributions and U.S. Bank Foundation grants across its footprint.
“U.S. Bank is committed to the communities we serve, and we keep our customers at the center of everything we do through the products and services we offer,” says U.S. Bank Executive Vice President and Walker Trustee Todd Ackerman. “Supporting cultural institutions, like the Walker Art Center, that play an important role in our cultural and creative environment is just one way that we demonstrate that commitment. U.S. Bank is proud to do this.”
