Sensory Friendly Sundays

This free monthly program is designed for kids, teens, and adults with sensory processing differences, autism, or developmental disabilities.

What to Expect

Every second Sunday of the month from 8 to 11 am, the galleries are closed to the general public, allowing visitors to enjoy the museum in a calm environment. Accommodations such as quiet spaces, fidgets, and sunglasses are provided. Experience the Walker’s exhibitions, make art, or just come enjoy the change of scenery.

Sensory Friendly Sunday was developed in consultation with the Autism Society of Minnesota (AuSM) and the University of Minnesota’s Occupational Therapy Program.
