Brimming with rage and desire, the post-apocalyptic world of OTRO TEATRO is a vigorous and surprising investigation of the pleasure of simply being. Uruguayan/New York–based choreographer luciana achugar and her collaborators, including Minneapolis’ own Zenon Dance Company, create a hypnotic work that upends “civilized” notions of beauty through ritualistic movement, feral physicality, and unabashed passion. Note: performance contains nudity. Run time 130 minutes, no intermission.
