Avant-guitar god David Torn’s all-star quartet strikes the perfect balance between jazz and electronic, elemental and explosive, free and form. Rounding out the exhilarating live combustion are Tim Berne (alto sax); Minneapolis native Craig Taborn (Rhodes, B3, mellotron, bent circuits); and Tom Rainey (drums)–all respected new jazz iconoclasts from New York’s Downtown scene.
