Art Club: Glass Lanterns
Event Details
Tickets & Info
Each Thursday, get creative and experiment with new mediums and ideas at Art Club. Create your own winter lantern using recycled glass jars, paper, and a little light! Inspired by the creative use of recycled materials in the Walker Design Triennial: Beyond Materialism, transform an everyday jar into a glowing work of art with the help of paper shapes and other translucent materials. Take your lantern home and add a little warmth and light to the dark days of winter.
Workshop instructions are designed for adults of any skill level; no prior experience required. Materials are provided and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Supplies and space are limited; please arrive early to claim a station. You are also welcome to bring your own glass jar from home to decorate.
Art Club is part of Free Thursday Nights—enjoy free gallery admission from 5 to 9 pm. Free admission tickets are available online in advance and on-site on the event day from the Main Lobby desk.
If you have questions about accessibility at the Walker or would like to request an accommodation, please contact Visitor Services at access@walkerart.org or 612-375-7564 at least two weeks before the event.
