Like their abolitionist namesake, the band Harriet Tubman pursues freedom with dogged resolve. The longtime New York trio weaves modern jazz, hard rock, and doom metal into dense thickets of sound. On stage as on their latest LP, Electrical Field of Love, they partner with LA soul singer and producer Georgia Anne Muldrow. A close collaborator of artists such as Erykah Badu and Madlib, Muldrow wields her voice like a lightning rod, channeling the band’s electric energy through her singular vessel. Together, the quartet embarks on a journey into the far reaches of human consciousness.
